Volunteers needed for Barn Tour 2026!
Summer is here, and this year’s DeKalb County Barn Tour is coming up fast. This year’s tour is in Genoa in the northern part of DeKalb County, and will be held on Saturday, August 8th, 2026. In order to make this Barn Tour as successful as those in years past, we need your help.
How You Can Help
Information Booth
Answer guest questions, provide directions and other information, and act as a greeter.
Ticket Sales
Volunteers will handle money, sell tickets, and interact with visitors.
Parking Assistants
Help direct traffic flow and organize parking at each barn location.
Clean Up
It may not be glamorous, but it offers a rare, uninterrupted chance to experience some of the most remarkable barns up close.
Be a Part of the Barn Tour Experience
A wide variety of opportunities are available to volunteers willing to help with the Barn Tour to make it successful. All training is provided.
Volunteers are invited to attend a free pre-tour of all barn sites the week before the event.
Hours are flexible to fit busy schedules. Volunteers can choose morning shifts from 8AM to noon, afternoon shifts from noon to 4PM, or both.
If you have questions about volunteering, please email daaha.inc@gmail.com or call us during our hours of operation at (815) 756-7904.
